The OFSP Network is pleased to share a newly published research article co-authored by Denis Lairon, member of the OFSP Steering Committee, together with colleagues from the NutriNet-Santé cohort.

The study explores the association between substituting conventional fruits and vegetables with organic alternatives and cancer risk in a large French adult population. Using detailed dietary data and long-term follow-up, the authors report that higher substitution with organic fruits and vegetables was associated with a lower risk of postmenopausal breast cancer.
